Kodu Transition Visit

16 May

Today we attended High School for the day as part of our Kodu Transition Project. We got to play on the Kodu games created by the various P7 classes across our primary schools and  formed marketing companies with our new friends with the aim of marketing our computer games. We created task teams within our companies, which will be focusing on creating websites and podcasts to market our games,  as well as writing game reviews, designing promotional materials, exploring finance, event planning, photography and hospitality for our parents’ event . We’re going to be very busy!

How did you find your first day at high school? What was the highlight of your day?

High School was nerve wracking for me because I didn’t know half of the people and I didn’t know if the teachers were going to be strict or not. The first subject for me was Science. Our teacher was lovely, she explained who she was and what we needed to do. Here were my subjects in the order that I was given: Science,English,ICT and then lastly Maths.

I am really interested in your project. I would like there to be more enterprise activities at my school. Do you think your idea of making games is a good place for us to start?
